About the Project
THE WANDERING NOTEBOOK – DECALOGUE
(This notebook isn’t yours. But now you’re part of its story.)
Respect the notebook. Carry it with care. Don’t fold it, forget it, or trade it for an airport sandwich
Leave a piece of yourself. A sentence, a drawing, a photo, a ticket, a thought. Something that speaks of your journey. Write in any language you like. Every word matters. None are wrong.
And if you’d like, sign your page with a name, an @handle, or anything that represents you. It might help someone find you one day — even just to say thank you.
Tell stories, don’t review. No stars needed. Write what you felt, what surprised you, what you understood.
No ads. This is not the place for advertising yourself. No personal hashtags, brands, links, or sponsored content.
Here, we share — we don’t sell.
Don’t edit others. Every scribble has a reason. This notebook is made of mistakes too.
Don’t take it home. This isn’t a souvenir. The notebook is a traveler — it’s not meant to live on your nightstand.
Pass it on. Don’t keep it too long. When your journey gives you the sign (you’ll know), give it to someone you don’t know. A stranger. That’s the point.
Share it - but do it right. Photos, videos, stories — go for it. But if you post it online, tag @hobookato.
Tell the story, not your brand. This notebook needs to be shared, not hidden.
Be personal. The world’s full of travel guides. This space needs humanity, honesty, emotion.
Eventually, it comes home. In about a year, someone will come looking for it. Help us close the circle. You’ll find the instructions in the back.
